Dale will be doing an in-store guitar demo/clinic for Australian-made and eco-friendly COLE CLARK GUITARS on July 21 at Blue Mountain Music in Collingwood, ON. If you havent heard about these great new progressive designs turning the traditional guitar making world on its head, then its about time you did! 22 June - After a succesful jaunt across to Winnipeg for the CD release party, Dale is back in Ontario playing local shows and having some R and R. Photos from the trip can soon be found on the Road Journal page. A big thankya to The Funky Truth for accompanying Dale on the road and backing him up at the release. 5/1/07 - Dale is in Australia, elbow deep in the studio recording for his next album.
5/10/06 - Local touring and playing in Ontario has seen Dale busy for the last couple of months. A mid-canada tour through North Bay, Sudbury, Sault Saint Marie, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg and Regina is being booked for November as well as some dates for southern Ontario so stay tuned for that. In addition, Dale returns to Australia in December/January for a 2 week East Coast tour, recording, then a 1 week stint in New Zealand in the new year so fun times ahead on the road..
10/8/06 - After a great time in Winnipeg doing half a dozen shows, Dale is now based in Toronto for the next while doing some solo shows and collaborating with other friends. Dale just got back from a great weekend in North Bay at the Heritage festival including a last minute opening spot for Our Lady Peace with Pat Robitaille. With 8000-10000 people in the crowd on the friday night mainstage, needless to say it was a bit of a buzz! Check the gallery for some pics from the weekend.
7/7/06 - Dale will be temporarily relocating to Canada from July. After a great stint of touring last year there he has decided its time to take the plunge and do it again on a 'bigger' scale. Winnipeg dates are confirmed, check the dates page. Other dates across canada to come including Ontario.
8/6/06 - Dale is currently completing the production and mix for NZ artist Bryce Wastney's upcoming debut album. Canada tour planned for early July.
4/4/06 - DALE: Hi Guys! Had a great time at the Yackandandah Folk Festival over the weekend of 31st March-2nd April. Some great acoustic music. I played 5 performances over the weekend and finished with a big jam session with others to wrap it all up. One of the notables i met were a German group called 'The Beez' - great arrangements of well known tunes such as ACDC, the strokes, all done in their own folk style with 4-part harmonies. I jammed two of their songs with them and then went and caught up with them at their show at the Harp Hotel in Sydney to jam some more on stage! Thanks for the fun times fellas!
In other news, I have started a band called the Dale Willis Trio - i think i have been itching to play some band material for a change and we have our first gig next week Thur 13th at the Bay Hotel near Lake Macquarie.
